Anne Geddes Shirt

We got dressed up and started taking pictures the other day. She was being a little fussy when i wanted to take the pictures but as soon as I took one picture she started smiling! I have a feeling shes going to love the camera :)

We are so in love with this little girl....

She really is the light in our life. Everyday is really just a gift.

After smiling at Mumma for the first time this little girl just keeps smiling!! It melts my heart. I see so much of Mumma in her when she smiles. LOVE IT
I love how one of her eyes gets smaller when she smiles :)

Lake Havasu with Mumma and Papa

Two weekends ago Mom and Dad invited us to Lake Havasu for a quick weekend getaway. We had SO much fun. We drank beers, hung out in the hot tub, played Wii, and relaxed. I know Nic and I needed a break from everyday life. Mom held little miss pretty much the entire time. She loves her Mumma and for the first time ever she responded cooing and a huge smile. (And I missed it :( i was taking a nap bummer) Here are some pictures :)

The weekend was one of those where it hurt to leave. Nic and I agreed it was one of the best we have had in a long long time. Cant wait to go back!!!

Car Trips and first bath

So we decided to get out of the house on Saturday and go to Sedona. For some strange reason our GPS took us to some random place. We ended up going through Payson, Strawberry, and then to no where.. but we pulled over and had some fun in the snow... Can you Believe this is Arizona!!!

And of course Two boys start throwing Snowballs at eachother... (ps my hubby is hott <3)

Where is Miss Maelynne you ask? She was in the car blowing bubbles lol
We never made it Sedona but we had fun.. Thats all that matters right?? :)

Then We gave little Miss Maelynne her first bath (yes she is one month but its too cold and I give her sink baths! So shes not stinky!)

Rough Night last night.....

Little miss decided it was a good idea to wake up at 5 and not go back to sleep. Tried everything but she just wanted me to hold her... So here we are sitting on the couch cuddling... Im exhausted.... but at least its a sunday and Ill let Nic sleep in for a little then ill sleep while he stays up with her.

Anyways I needed to post more pictures of Miss Maelynne so here they are.

We went on a drive to sedona yesterday but we didnt make it there. haha The GPS took us to some random place but it wasnt sedona. It was a beautiful drive and we had a lot of fun. Ill post pictures tomorrow.

New Year New Life....

One of my New Years goals is writing in this thing. Shona just created her first blog book and said she is going to do one every year. and I thought it was be so cool to show Maelynne what our life was like when she was just a baby. So lets see, from the last post what has happened??

Well, My Maelynne Isabella was born on December 10th 2009. She was 7lb 13 ounces 20 inches long. and PERFECT in every way. This is the first time I held my baby girl. Our first moment as a family :)
My mom stayed for a week to help me. I really REALLY dont know what I would have done without her. After she left Nic and I had to learn to adjust with just the three of us. I think we are doing really really good! Nic is an amazing dad. He doesnt get frustrated and he listens when I give him advice. its been really good. We had our Annual Cousins Party at our house just 9 days after she was born...Look at the pics at shonas blog. So Maelynne got to meet a lot of her Family.

We had some issues with the little princess. She wasnt gaining weight in fact she was losing weight. So we had to do both breast feed and bottle feed. I didnt want to give her formula, but she needed to gain some weight and I guess I wasnt producing enough milk bummer.

Anyways, Alex just moved in last wednesday and now theres 4 of us in this little house. We will see how it works out HAHA. Im sure everything will be okay.

Well I need to get back to some house work. Wish me luck on following through with this!!
